- Wall chargers are mounted onto a wall.
- They can either be connected as a plug-in charger with a NEMA 14-50 outlet or hardwired.
- Wall chargers can be produced by the car manufacturer or by a third party.
220v Outlet
- 220 Volt outlets offer a universal way to plug in your electric vehicle.
- These outlets can be used for other appliances like dryers or ovens.
- Some vehicles, like newer Teslas, require an adapter for the manufacturer’s charging cable (see right photo).
